Memory Lane Slide Show

06/28/2009
Keep your fingers crossed for good luck! I was able to get my Dad's 40-some year old slide projector running this afternoon so I spent some time pulling out slides of family get-togethers over the years. I have a variety selected from 1946 through 1958 -- that's all the years that I have indexed so far. So IF the projector will hang in there and work again on the 12th we can have an old-fashioned slide show at the reunion!

games, lawn chairs etc.

06/28/2009
Games -- Lynda said she'd try to remember to bring their Bocce set ... maybe somebody else has another one to bring? We've got a Ladder Golf game (also known as rodeo golf or lasso golf) that we can bring ... maybe others have this too? Yvonne said she has a game to bring along. So maybe we can get a few games going ... or a little tournament or two. I was thinking maybe some water balloons too for a little fun.

Lawn chairs -- you might want to bring your lawn chairs along in case we have nice weather and can sit outside. Let's hope, hope, hope for nice weather!

Map/directions -- I'll post a map and directions this week for those who need.

Our numbers are at about 53 right now -- including kids.

a few more details as the date gets closer...

06/25/2009
Well, we're less than 3 weeks away from our reunion date! So here are a few more details to keep in mind:
- Arrival time -- anytime after 11:00 a.m. -- Lynda will be our welcoming greeter! (I'll be flying in from Chicago!)
- Lunch will be served at 12:30 pm -- cost is $6.00 per person & you can pay me (Diane) that day
- Desserts/Treats are for us to provide -- so bring something to share if you'd like to do so.
- I've taken care of the camp rental fee but donations are welcome
- "Pets are not permitted in any of the buildings and must be leashed at all times."
- We have the camp until 5 p.m.

I've not really had any responses to my questions about planning activities plus I've been busy (like all of you are too!) ... so I guess we'll just have the afternoon to chat. But if anybody does get the urge to bring something along to do or share or head up an idea that is fine too. We'll play it by ear.

So far I have about 42 RSVPs with "yes" ... so if you or someone you know hasn't sent his/her RSVP to me PLEASE do so by July 2nd -- I need to get the final numbers in for the lunch by July 3rd. The e-mail address is:
NorrgardReunion@hotmail.com

I'll plan to post maybe one more time prior to the reunion.....
See you soon!
