2024 Reunion -- Update!

Our reunion is only about 5 weeks away!

We're trying to get numbers in for planning so that we know if we have enough to go ahead with the Hall rental or not. 

Please let Karen, Joan, Sue, or Diane know if you're going to be there or not and do it soon. Much appreciated. RSVP link is also available below. 

Recap of what's up if we'll be at the Hall:

Date: Saturday, August 3rd, 2024
Location is reserved: Salem Mahtowa Hall -- Mahtowa, MN (next to the church) 2706 1st St, Mahtowa, MN 55707

We'll have the coffee pot on probably mid-morning (10:30ish?) and share a luncheon meal (12:30ish?) together with plenty of time to visit. We have the Hall for the day. 

For the luncheon:

  - Diane is getting Deli chicken
  - Karen has picked up paper plates, napkins etc.

Others can bring:

  - A variety of salads, sides, rolls
  - Treats to go along with coffee & as dessert
  - A donation of coffee would be wonderful! We would need it there earlier enough to make & have ready. We'll be using a big coffee pot. 

Other ideas or happenings:

- Karen is going to bring her big binder of family history! 
- Others are welcome to bring family related pics, history, etc. that you'd like to share. We'd love to see them.

- Diane is going to try to bring & share the slide show she shared at our 2009 reunion at the Park Lake Bible Camp. 

- Some have expressed interest in driving by the old farm, the cemetery, and other local spots of family history. 

- Open to your ideas, too! Let one of us know.

2024 Reunion Update

Since we're only a little over 2 months away here's an update as to where we are:

1) We have Salem Hall for the day so we're thinking that the coffee pot will be on by 11 am with lunch about 12:30 pm. Sound okay?

2) Still open to suggestions for activities, if any other than sharing food & conversation. Please let us know if there's something you're planning or would like to see happen & you're willing to take on. "Many hands make light work." Thank you.

3) We'd appreciate RSVPs soon for planning. (use the link below) 

4) We're working on a form or somehow to collect what people are willing to bring-- such as other food to fill in, plus needed paper supplies like plates, cups, napkins, etc. Watch for another post on this.

Norrgard Family Reunion! Sat., August 3rd, 2024

2020 was the year we'd planned to have another bigger reunion, but that fell by the wayside for health & safety concerns during the pandemic. In conversations with various cousins, it was decided that we'd like to gather together in 2024.

Planning is ongoing, but here are the initial details.

The date is set: Saturday, August 3rd, 2024
The location is reserved: Salem Mahtowa Hall -- Mahtowa, MN (next to the church)

We'll plan to have the coffee pot on probably mid-morning and share a luncheon meal together with plenty of time to visit. We have the Hall for the day. 

Tentatively for the luncheon, we'll get Deli chicken and a variety of salads/sides. etc. Others can fill in with items if they have dietary needs. And we'll ask for donations of treats to go along with coffee & as dessert. We'll have other items to add, but I'll try to get a sign-up going as we get closer.

For now, please share the date and information with any family member(s) in order to get the word out. And watch for an RSVP form.
